Chief Financial Officer Brent Davies, CPA, CMA

Brent Davies is currently Chief Financial Officer of America West Resources, Inc. and a part time employee of Robison, Hill & Co., APC, Certified Public Accountants. He previously served as CEO of Robison, Hill & Co., CPAs, Staff Accountant for Grant Thornton (formerly Elmer Fox, Westheimer & Co., CPAs), Instructor in the MBA Program, University of Wyoming at Casper, teaching federal income tax, cost accounting and accounting theory, Research Assistant, marketing and accounting research, at the College of Commerce, University of Wyoming, Assistant Store Manager for S.S. Kresge Co. (K-Mart), and Bookkeeper (payroll) for Commercial Shearing Inc. Mr. Davies served as Petty Officer 2nd Class, supervisor of personnel office, United States Navy.

During the period of employment with Robison, Hill & Co. Mr. Davies has had diversified public accounting, industry and teaching experience, serving as president and chief executive of two privately owned companies in the extractive industry, serving as a controller of several small privately owned companies, serving on the Board of Directors of several small public and private companies, serving as corporate financial consultant to both private and public companies and participating in accounting and marketing research projects that resulted in two articles being published in national magazines. Mr. Davies has also been a speaker at seminars and workshops sponsored by professional, civic and private groups.

Mr. Davies has been the principal auditor in the registration statements for more than 35 initial public offerings and has been a consultant in the preparation of forms S-1, SB-2, S-8, 10-K, 10-Q, 10-KSB, 10-QSB and other filings with the SEC. He has been the principal auditor for two broker dealers in the securities business. His bankruptcy assignments have included work as an accountant to the Trustee, debtor in possession, creditors’ committee, receiver and examiner.

Mr. Davies has specialized skills in taxes, accounting, auditing and management services. He has represented clients before the IRS, various state tax commissions, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD). His experience includes financial as well as special purpose audits, of entities from the commercial, government, and non-profit sectors of the economy. He has been appointed as an arbitrator and has had experience with respect to investigative audits, both for clients and in connection with judicial proceedings. He has testified as an expert witness in many cases and has supported litigation to the point of settlement in several other cases.

Mr. Davies graduated from the University of Utah with a B.S. in Marketing and a B.S. in Management. After serving as a manager in the S. S. Kresge Co. (K-Mart), he returned to school and received a B.S. in Accounting and a MBA (accounting option) from the University of Wyoming.

He is a Certified Management Accountant and has CPA certificates from California, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming. He is also a Certified Management Accountant. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants, the Wyoming Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Mr. Davies’ diversified experience and education have enabled him to provide a variety of services to clients in various industries. Brent is currently serving as the Utah representative to the State of Nevada CPA Peer Review Acceptance Body.
